The ICAO museum, located in the main lobby of ICAO Headquarters in Montréal, showcases the history and achievements of international civil aviation. Visitors can explore different time periods related to ICAO's milestones, including significant legal documents and influential public figures.
Important Note: All visitors are required to be processed through building security prior to gaining admittance. This will include x-ray examination of baggage, passing through a metal detector, and confiscation of any items perceived as potentially dangerous.
The museum highlights ICAO's past, present, and future priorities, featuring exhibits that span from pre-ICAO aviation history to the organization's current work. It aims to inspire students interested in civil aviation, international law, and UN governance, as well as aviation enthusiasts in general.
As we approach International Civil Aviation Day on 7 December and celebrate ICAO's 80th anniversary, we invite you to visit an extraordinary archival photo exhibit that chronicles the foundation of ICAO. From the historic signing of the Convention on International Civil Aviation to the pioneering assemblies that shaped global aviation cooperation, these black-and-white treasures tell the stories of visionaries who gathered in 1944 and the decades that followed!
