Welcome to the ICAO Facilitation Conference (FALC 2025)
FALC 2025 offers a unique opportunity for States and aviation industry stakeholders to explore advancements in air transport facilitation. The Conference will provide a platform for participants to collaborate on a global facilitation strategy that enables adaptation and responsiveness to the rapid developments in civil aviation. This event will focus on promoting collaboration, efficiency, and inclusivity in global air travel under the theme, "Facilitating the Future of Air Transport." It will serve as a significant milestone following the 2024 celebrations of the Year of Facilitation, the 75th anniversary of Annex 9 — Facilitation, and ICAO's 80th anniversary.
High-Level Ministerial Segment
A highlight of FALC 2025 is the high-level ministerial segment, which will set the strategic tone for the conference and renew global commitment to enhancing air transport facilitation. This segment provides a strategic platform for ministers to discuss and endorse initiatives aimed at strengthening the role of air transport facilitation in connecting communities and promoting seamless international mobility.
Hands-on Experience
This event will offer a unique opportunity to all participants, as a technical demonstration will be organized by the experts of the Technical Advisory Group on the Traveller Identification Programme (TAG/TRIP) and of the ICAO Public Key Directory (PKD) Board. In the ever-evolving innovative landscape of air transport, we are pleased to confirm that technical capabilities will be set up for the 3-day conference segment of the event, allowing to demonstrate the capabilities of modern electronic and digital travel documents and to highlight the latest in automation. The value of ICAO-specified formats and tools will be explained with a focus on the importance to conform to ICAO specifications. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in testing and use of tools using their own travel documents.
Attendance
The event is open to all Member States. Attendance by senior officials from Member States, Civil Aviation Authorities, and ministries responsible for Health, Interior, Tourism, Immigration and Issuance, Customs, and Foreign Affairs is highly recommended. Representatives from international organizations, industry stakeholders, and the private sector are also encouraged to participate.
Conference Expectations
Participants can anticipate engaging presentations from distinguished speakers, interactive Q&A sessions, and a diverse exhibition showcasing innovative products and services. The conference will be conducted with interpretation in all ICAO official languages, ensuring accessibility to a global audience. We look forward to collaborative discussions that will shape the future of air transport facilitation and drive continued improvements in efficiency and connectivity across borders.
